About Us

What is Phoenix Lacrosse?

A new lacrosse option for the south central Wisconsin area established by former DC Coyotes coaches and families. Phoenix Lax will focus on the original ideals that made the previous program a successful and positive experience.

What makes Phoenix Lacrosse Club different?

  • We exist to have kids play high-quality lacrosse and have a great time doing it.
  • We provide a methodical approach to skill development through clinic sessions paired with team practices.
  • High level instruction from top coaches in the area - members of our coaching staff all have multiple years of coaching experience working with all ages and skill levels, and many of our coaches have played collegiate lacrosse at the NCAA, MCLA, or GLLL levels.
  • We also have maintained a relationship with the UNRL National team allowing us to offer an avenue for those interested in an opportunity to play nationally a chance to try out for the UNRL team.

The Experience

At Phoenix, the main goal is to achieve an inclusive, positive community for all our players and families. Success on the field is driven only from success by building relationships with teammates, coaches, and other families. When parents and players were asked for memorable moments from previously playing on Coyote teams, their responses were never about tournaments won and lost, but rather about the time spent in between games in our tent cities, the friendships made that likely would not have happened organically due to geography, and the support for each other despite playing on opposing teams during the spring. We also hope to bring together all age levels, players and families, prior to the start of the season and at the conclusion of the season to enjoy each other’s company and get to know all of the fantastic families that make up our organization. Details will be made available closer to the summer.

That being said, we also pride ourselves on doing well at tournaments. Last summer, our 2023 team won the Summer Shootout Tournament in Chicago as well as the Rip the Wave Gold Division in Indiana, beating True Indiana in overtime. The 2022 team won the JV division at Rip the wave and came up just short in the semi final game at the MidAmerica Invitational. Our current 2023 team has maintained a core group of kids that began playing together at the U11 level going 19-0 and went on to win the Warrior Cup, a national recognition http://www.unifiednewsgroup.com/oregon_observer/sports/oregon-lacrosse-coyotes-awarded-national-title/article_705f8e99-1bdb-5f2e-8e3e-a3ea0928e93f.html At the U13 level, that same team was found on the Inside Lacrosse World Rankings watchlist https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/2018-preseason-nissan-world-series-of-youth-lacrosse-il-13u-world-rankings/50682 We strive to continue with this level of success across all of our age groups.
